This article refers to the school climate and consists of two parts. In the first part, an attempt is made to define and clarify the concept of school climate. Then, reference is made to the separation between school climate and culture. Then, the forms of the school climate are mentioned and the factors shaping the school climate are described indicatively. In the second part, the importance of the school climate for the performance of the students, the upgrading of the educational work and the effectiveness of the school is analyzed. Through the bibliographic sources, this article aims to highlight the importance of a positive climate in schools, a topical issue since it is a parameter of the self-evaluation of the school unit.
