This study presents a part of a post-doctorate research that was carried out in autumn of 2015 and was about the socialization of the students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It focused on students’ points of view about the ideal teacher. The attributes that were put forward were scientific capacity, teaching ability, the clemency when assessing the final papers of the students, the democratic behavior and the interesting way of teaching. The main findings of this research are students’ emphasis on teaching ability and the scientific capacity of their teacher. Moreover, some subordinate relations were observed between students’ sex and the orientation of their studies.
